Between 2020 – 2023, Teodora and Andrea have been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts to develop repertoire, perform new works in Brooklyn, NY, and Montreal, QC, as well as record their debut album to be released by Love Records, in 2024.

Our repertoire includes three new commissions by Teodora Stepančić, Laura Cetilia, Daniel Brandes, as well as a duo revision of “Tagtraum” by Andrea Young.

teo dora an drea between chords

Between Chords is the debut album by Teo Dora An Drea (Teodora Stepančić, piano/keyboards/objects, and Andrea Young, voice/electronics). Comprised of three works, in may (Laura Cetilia), between chords (Teodora Stepančić) and Tagtraum (Andrea Young), this album traces along the edge of song with elongated melodies, sounding objects and silence. Micro-moments are composed into landscapes, sometimes broken and abstracted, other times bending adrift.

between chords – Teodora Stepančić

'between chords' by Teodora Stepancic continues a series of duos in which she explores strategies of collaborative practices, communication between performers and their immediate and imagined environments. It is structured as a series of vignettes, where individual sonic actions re-imagine the idea of a melody and harmony.

Tagtraum – Andrea Young

Originally commissioned by Array Music for voice and chamber ensemble, this piece was revised for voice, piano, tape and electronics for our duo. Each movement explores different amounts of echo, from near unisons to live convolution, with text fragments from Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies (1923).
