EXO//ENDO (www.exoendo.international) is a group of composer-performers that draw from diverse histories involving classical, avant-garde, punk, noise, industrial, progressive, krautrock and new music. The members synthesize their disparate backgrounds into something as unrecognizable as it is contemporary. With the assistance of an ever-growing body of composers, performers and collaborators, EXO//ENDO sets out to further break what has already been broken, and to work exclusively with what remains.
The ensemble seeks to create a feedback loop between the composer's imagination and the performers' improvisatory impulses. Once a mutual, resonant interpretation is achieved, the whole of a work becomes greater than the sum of its parts, developing improvisation, graphical scores and traditional notation into dynamic forms.
